Have you ever considered going to a summer festival? Probably but some people are a bit uncertain and don't know what to expect.
In the last few years I have attended to a number of large events and this piece of writing offers an overview of what you might expect from my experiences.
Going to a summer festival does have the two, the positives as well as the negatives.
Because most summer festivals happen outdoor, the quality of the experience is largely depending upon the weather.
You have probably seen some images or pictures of music festivals on the TV.
Typically these events are organized outdoors and attract a large amount of people.
That is something that is true for both the number of visitors as the number of acts and artists.
On most festivals there are multiple stages and commonly one of the them is indoors, but that is not always the case.
One of the most well-known festivals is Rock Werchter.
Should you bring a tent? Some people insist that you miss something if you don't pass the night on the camping.
Often there is such an incredible ambiance that your really shouldn't miss.
Backpacking will be certainly cheaper, but you will miss some convenience.
Don't forget to look at a checklist before you set foot to the event.
As said before, at larger festivals you'll often find that there are multiple stages.
If there's a specific act that you really want to observe then make sure that you know on which stage they'll be performing on and at what time.
And lastly remember that food and drinks will be quite high-priced.
It's always a good idea to bring your own food and drinks if that's allowed.
Music festivals are fantastic fun.
If you've never experienced one before then why not try one out this summer?
