If you are looking for that idyllic location for a fairy-tale wedding, the why not consider Cyprus? From beautiful sandy beaches and turquoise seas to historic monasteries and hotel chapels, there are so many unique places to tie the knot.

Every year hundreds of couples of all ages choose Cyprus for their dream day. Whether you want a quiet ceremony in a local chapel or the full white wedding on the beach, there are many options to create the perfect day. Here are just a few…

AYIA NAPA

Historic Ayia Napa Monastery

This beautifully cloistered monastery is situated next to the Square in Ayia Napa and is an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle of the town. The beautiful Venetian style building dating back to the 15th century, with marble fountain and 600 year old sycamore tree, provides a unique backdrop for stunning photographs after your ceremony.

Hotels nearby include the Grecian Sands Hotel, situated on a beautiful sandy beach, with its own whitewashed chapel in the grounds if the monastery seems too grand. Civil ceremonies are also available at the Sea Deck which overlooks the breath-takingly blue Mediterranean Sea.

Adams Beach Hotel on Nissi Beach

The Adams Beach Hotel, has a quaint little whitewashed chapel overlooking the beautiful sea at Nissi Bay. This venue is especially good for couples with children as the adjoining hotel has a variety of family rooms, suites and cottages. Being in Ayia Napa, there is obviously plenty of opportunity to sample the famous nightlife, or you can have you reception around the pool or even on the beach! Enjoy a glorious party while watching the sun set over Nissi Bay.

LARNACA

Palm Beach Hotel & Bungalows

The Palm Beach Hotel gives you the option to have an indoor or outdoor wedding. Choose from tying the knot on the beach by the lapping waves or do it in the lovely little chapel by the hotel. The hotel will help you plan every detail, from the food to the candles surrounding your own private gazebo. Watch the golden sunset as you say your vows.

The hotel offers fantastic accommodation for newlyweds in the shape of their bungalows. They are Indonesian in style and are set away from the hotel ensuring maximum privacy and peace. They have their own lagoon-shaped swimming pool; they have a bedroom and sitting room with access right out onto the lush romantic gardens.

LIMASSOL

Four Seasons Hotel

The wonderful hotel chapel, St George's, is based on traditional Orthodox design and is a unique setting for Catholic and Anglican wedding ceremonies. Wedding receptions can be arranged on the lawns in front of the chapel after the ceremony and of course wedding dinners can follow in one of the private function rooms or continue outdoors in the balmy summer evening. Limassol is the second largest town in Cyprus and has a 14th Century castle where Richard the Lion Hart married Berengaria of Navarre, making this island a romantic place to say 'I Do'.

A few kilometres from the centre of Limassol is a renovated traditional house that functions as the Cultural Centre of Germasogeia. Beautiful gardens surround the centre, making it very photogenic and another great location for a more 'outdoorsy' wedding.

This beautifully renovated Cultural Centre of Agios Athanasios is about 100 years old and would make a stunning historical setting for your wedding day. Only a few kilometres from the centre of Limassol you are close to accommodation for your friends and family while enjoying the tranquillity and seclusion of a private wedding.

On the sea front in Limassol St Catherine's Church has a beautiful interior and gardens close by for wedding photographs and of course has those enchanting views of the impossibly blue Mediterranean Sea.

PROTARAS

Protaras lies a few kilometres east of Ayia Napa and is famous for its beautiful sandy beaches, especially Fig Tree Bay.

Dherynia Folkloric Museum

For a unique and rustic setting for your wedding, the Folkloric Museum is an excellent choice. Civil weddings are conducted in this traditional Cypriot House, set among leafy trees, quirky buildings and beautiful views. Book your flights to Cyprus for your picture perfect wedding.

Vrissiana Beach Hotel

Designed to resemble a billowing sail with its unique boat shape, Vrissiana Beach Hotel is luxurious and modern. It has a choice of venues in which to marry including the Paradise Gazebo located literally on Protaras beach so you can hear the sounds of waves, The White Conference Room, a luxurious air-conditioned indoor venue offering privacy and sophistication and the Pool Bar surrounded by the golden sands of Protaras Bay. The hotel will help with all your arrangements and, of course, have plenty of accommodation for all your guests!
