- 1). Use websites such as Flight Explorer and Flight Stats to check the status of your flight. These websites have real-time geographical trackers giving up-to-the minute information about your flight arrival time.
- 2). Go to the "flight tracker" option on either website and input your flight ID when requested. If you do not know your flight ID, use the search option provided. This will bring up a range of options from which you can select your flight.
- 3). Check the website of the carrier you are flying with, just to be on the safe side. If everything is listed as okay on Flight Explorer and Flight Stats, you are unlikely to encounter a problem on the carrier's website. This site is of more use if there is a delay, because it will have more detailed information about the cause and possible compensation.
- 4). Listen to the TV and radio just in case there is a major incident. Again, these will be flagged on Flight Explorer and Flight Stats, but it is worth checking as many media as possible.
