- 1). Verify your LCD TV can be wall mounted. Consult your owner's manual for verification or call your TV manufacturer.
- 2). Choose where the LCD TV will go.
- 3). Locate the wall studs where the TV will go. Use the stud finder to do this and mark the stud locations with a pencil. You will need to have at least one in-wall stud available for the mounting bracket to attach to. You will also need a nearby cable and electrical outlet.
- 4). Attach the mounting rails to the back of your TV.
- 5). Hold the mounting bracket against the wall where the TV will go. Use the level to check the bracket's positioning. Mark where the anchor bolts will go through the mount. Also trace an outline of where the wall-box will go for the TV cabling.
- 6). Drill a pilot hole in each mark for the anchor bolts. Use a drill and a small-diameter drill bit.
- 7). Using a drywall or sheetrock saw, cut out where the cabling wall box will go. Run the cabling from your audio/video system to the box by fishing it through an attic, crawlspace or basement. You can use a fish-tape to run the cable. Install the box cover when finished.
- 8). Hold the mounting bracket against the wall. Double check its positioning using the level and inspecting how the bracket aligns with the pilots holes.
- 9). Secure the mounting bracket to the wall. Twist the anchor bolts into the bracket openings with a socket wrench. Make sure all bolts are snug.
- 10
Carefully lift your LCD TV and hang it on the mounting bracket. Use a second person to do this. Release the display only after the mounting rails have securely hooked onto the crossbars of the mounting bracket. - 11
Move the safety tabs on each rail into position to lock the TV in place. This provides extra holding by preventing the display from being accidentally lifted from the wall bracket. - 12
Attach all cables by plugging them into their respective slots.
