    Monkey Jungle

    • Started in 1933 by the animal behaviorist Joseph DuMond, Monkey Jungle has become one of the premiere attractions in the Miami area. A primatological reserve, Monkey Jungle is home to roughly 400 primates. Monkey Jungle allows the majority of its primates to run free on its 30-acre reserve and it is the only such reserve in the United States that allows entry to the public.

    Jungle Island

    • Formerly known as Parrot Jungle, Jungle Island is now home to all types of birds, primates, other mammals, reptiles and fish. Jungle Island sits on 18 acres, has an extensive horticulture program and is open 365 days a year. The island also has a priivate beach called La Playa that is open to visitors on a seasonal basis.

    The Art Deco District

    • The Art Deco District offers you the chance to see the cutting edge of Art Deco design and architecture. With its uniquely shaped and colorful buildings, the district has been designated a historical preservation area. There are several tours available, including ones that will take you to visit Al Capone's former south Florida home.

    South Beach

    • There's no visiting Miami without hitting South Beach, the center of Miami's nightlife.
