Is Fish Oil Good For You? Yes and Here"s Why

My friend asked me is fish oil good for you awhile back and I was delighted to share my findings with him.
For the last couple of years, I've been studying fish oil and nutrition and have uncovered a wealth of information.
For example, did you know Harvard University did a study showing fish oil supplements helped prevent cardiac arrest? They also did a study that found that the fatty acids in this oil were essential to maintaining health.
In fact, these researchers discovered a link between a deficiency in these nutrients and the premature deaths of between 63,000 and 100,000 people a year! Why is fish oil good for you? It's precisely because it's rich in these essential nutrients.
Omega 3 fatty acids are the "good" fats you've probably heard about and they're necessary for your health.
These fats prevent blood clots, boost your memory and slow aging.
Unfortunately, most of us are seriously deficient in them because we don't eat enough fish and other foods containing these oils.
In fact, nutritionists argue about whether we eat 10 or 50 times the amount of other fatty acids for every omega 3 we get.
And, that's dangerous.
See, studies show omega 3 fatty acids like that found in fish oil reduces inflammation.
And, if you've seen any of the health news in recent years, you probably know doctors link inflammation to every disease you can think of-from rheumatoid arthritis to heart disease and cancer.
See, when your body's dealing with chronic inflammation it can lead to heart disease ("hardening" of the arteries) and other critical issues because your immune system is out of whack.
If you get more of the right nutrients, your body is nutritionally balanced and stays healthier.
Fish oil is good for you because it's rich in omega 3 fatty acids.
These include DHA and EPA, both building blocks of your brain.
1-It reduces inflammation 2-It improves your memory 3-Protects you from heart disease 4-Benefits your skin and hair 5-Slows aging All in all, not getting these fatty acids is flat out dangerous.
You can get them by eating more fish.
The American Heart Association recommends fish 2-3 times a week.
Alaskan salmon, herring, hoki and sardines are good sources.
Yes, all the research says fish oil is good for you.
