How to Cite Magazines in MLA Style

    • 1). Cite articles from a magazine used as sources for your paper as follows: "Author. "Article Title." Magazine Title Date Month Year: page range. Medium.

Italicize the title of the magazine. Replace "medium" with "Print" or "Electronic" depending on where the magazine is published. (See Reference 2)

    • 2). Format the citation by indenting the second line of the citation by five spaces. Do not put a period after the name of the magazine.

    • 3). List the last name of the author(s) of the magazine article followed by the page number(s) for in-text citations. For example, "(Smith, 100-102)." If the article does not have any authors, use the first word of the title instead.
