- 1). Register the Zune 30 online by visiting Microsoft's online Zune repair site (see Resources) and filling out the requested personal information. Have your Zune's serial number ready, as it is required for registration.
- 2). Request assistance from a Microsoft technical support professional, who will walk you through some basic troubleshooting to confirm that your Zune 30 requires servicing or replacement. Your receipt or bill of sale is required to prove you purchased the product within the warranty period.
- 3). Mail your Zune 30 and a photocopy of your original receipt to the address specified by Microsoft in a sturdy, post office-approved container. Pack your Zune securely as any additional damage occurring during shipping will not be covered under your limited warranty. Microsoft estimates replacing a Zune takes 15 business days on average from when you mail the unit to when you receive the replaced or refurbished unit.
