- 1). Put on a pair of latex or rubber gloves, and then retrieve the empty Canon CLI-8 cartridge from your printer. Cover the outlet hole on the underside of the cartridge with your index finger.
- 2). Clear the plastic plug from blocking the refilling hole on the top of the Canon CLI-8 cartridge by pushing it into the body of the empty cartridge. An L tool or similar tool is useful for pushing the plug into the cartridge.
- 3). Screw the needle attachment onto your refilling syringe.
- 4). Fill the syringe with 13 ml of replacement ink for the cartridge.
- 5). Fit the needle into the refilling hole, and slowly release the ink.
- 6). Seal the refilling hole with a plastic plug to ensure the cartridge is airtight. Remove your index finger from the outlet hole, and return the CLI-8 to your printer.
