- 1). Snap new brackets onto the old section of gutter. The brackets will snap into place inside the gutter. Be sure to place a bracket on both ends of the gutter, as well as every 18 to 24 inches inside the length of gutter to provide ample support.
- 2). Place the gutter on the line visible on the face board of the eaves, which indicates the slope at which the section was mounted before it came off.
- 3). Attach the gutter by driving a screw through each of the brackets mounted to the gutter. Use a drill to drive the screws through the bracket and into the fascia of the eave. Repeat this until all the brackets are properly mounted.
- 4). Connect the reattached section of gutter to any existing sections using a small section called a seamer. Place the seamer so that it overlaps the two sections of gutter and snaps the two pieces together.
- 5). Apply a bead of sealant inside the gutter, where the seamer connects the two pieces. This creates a a watertight seal.
