- The 1970 Chevrolet Corvette was a face-lifted version of the previous 1968 and 1969 models, featuring a newly-designed front grille, redesigned seats and accentuated flared wheel arches. A total of 17,316 Corvettes were made in 1970. The '70 Corvette was offered with a choice of five different engines, and the RPO L46 was the fourth most powerful.
- The RPO L46 engine found in 1970 Corvettes was a 5.8 liter V8 with a cast iron block. The valve lifters were hydraulic, and the engine produced 350 horsepower at 5600 rpm.
- The '70 Corvette L46 featured the same body as the other Corvettes from that year. They were 47.4 inches tall, 69 inches wide, 182.5 inches long, and had a wheelbase of 98 inches.
- The '70 Corvette featured hydraulic vented disc brakes on all wheels. The rotors had a diameter of 11.75 inches, and power assistance could be bought as an option.
