- 1). Go to the main menu on your BlackBerry 8100. Select the "Options" icon.
- 2). Select "Security Options" and then choose "General Options."
- 3). Press the BlackBerry key and click "Wipe Handheld." Click on the box to remove all "third-party applications" and press continue. This will remove all applications that you have downloaded to your BlackBerry.
- 4). Input "Blackberry" into the text box that is displayed. Your device will delete all data and restart. Once the phone restarts, it will be reset to its original settings. You cannot stop this process once it begins.
- 1). Remove the battery cover from the back of your device. Remove the battery.
- 2). Leave the battery out for at least 30 seconds so that the phone can reset itself.
- 3). Replace the battery and the battery cover and power on your phone.
