- Class two and class four microSD cards offer different data transfer rates, according to the Toshiba website. A class two card has a minimum transfer speed of 2 MB per second and a class four card has a minimum speed of 4 MB per second.
- Class two and class four cards are applicable with different applications. A class two card will support SD video recording while a class four card will support full HD video recording.
- MicroSD cards, along with SD, miniSD, SDHC, miniSDHC, microSDHC, SDXC and micro SDXC card will be marked with a 2, 4, 6, 8 or 1 to designate its speed class, according to SDCard.org.
