One of the tougher muscles on the body to build up are the calf muscles.
These are tough to build because there is a limited range of motion that these can go through compared to other parts of your body.
If you want to have stronger calf muscles that grow in size, there are things you need to do.
The calf for many is a problem because the rest of the body bulks up while this part of the legs stay smaller.
For some with small legs, it's a huge issue as it doesn't look too proportionate compared to the rest of the body.
This is why building these muscles up is important.
You have to start off by training your calf muscles regularly.
Many aren't sure how to do this properly, but it's really not that hard.
You have to start off with a standing calf exercise.
This is done by standing on the end of a stair or block with just your toes on it.
Put your arms straight out in front of you and move your legs up and down which is going to challenge your calf muscles.
Control the movement as opposed to just bouncing up and down.
When this gets easy, you have to add weight.
The best is to just use a squat bar adding weight to it to make the exercise challenging.
Be sure to also add in some cardio training.
Things like running will help define the calf muscle while also challenging it.
This won't make it larger like the other exercise but does define well.
Be sure to work your calves a few times a week till failure meaning you can't do another one.
This is very helpful especially if this is a smaller part of your body that you want to bulk up.
