How to Use a Logitech Wireless Keyboard

    • 1). Install the Logitech wireless keyboard by simply plugging the transceiver into your computer, installing batteries in the keyboard and pressing the small red button on the bottom of the keyboard. Load the CD that came with the keyboard into your computer and install the keyboard software by following the on screen prompts.

    • 2). Remap the shortcut keys on your keyboard by first launching the Logitech's SetPoint or Control Center software that came with your wireless keyboard. Select your specific model of Logitech keyboard from the first drop-down menu, and then choose the hot key or any F-key that you would like to customize. Now simply select the new task that you would like the key to be associated with.

    • 3). Look to the perimeter of the keyboard to use the hot keys. Most wireless models from Logitech will have buttons there for instant access to a calculator, zoom controls for viewing pictures, and even one-touch access to Windows Vista features.

    • 4). Combine the specialized features of your Logitech keyboard with all of the keyboard shortcuts that are traditionally used with Microsoft Windows-based applications. Logitech has designed the keyboard so that users who are familiar with these shortcuts can continue to use them.

    • 5). Utilize the F keys at the top of the keyboard so that you can get to Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet Explorer with just a touch of a button. This is done by holding down the "Function" key while pressing the F key that is marked as being for that application.
