Who else is about to schedule their first, or next psychic reading? If you think that calling a psychic by phone is a pretty simple and straightforward process, you are MOSTLY right. In my view, getting a psychic reading by phone is one of the easiest and most accessible ways to get intuitive life advice on just about any important issue you have, and without having to wait weeks or travel hundreds of miles to get help when you need it most.

That said, as someone with 20 years of experience with psychic readings, both personally and professionally alike, I can tell you that there IS in fact an art, and a science to successful psychic readings.

And while a good part of an accurate reading DOES in fact rest with the skill of the psychic or medium you call, see or seek out, those on the "inside" know that the CLIENT or caller has some responsibility as well.

The good news?

If you are calling a reader by phone, you have some very distinct advantages over those that prefer to get their readings in person, most specifically...it's much harder for the psychic to "cheat". Not that most do of course, but even unconsciously, human nature is such that information "leaks" face to face that colors a reading that does NOT happen by phone.

What you look like, how old you are, what kind of car you pulled up in, whether you have a wedding ring on, what sort of clothes you are wearing and all those sorts of seemingly SMALL details can be very influential, even unintentionally, on your reader, and your reading as a result. (and all honest psychics will tell you this, which is why the vast majority of world class readers do MOST of their best work on the phone)

That said, there are about 6 or 7 important things that every new client should know before calling a psychic.

In the interest of the space I have available here, I'm going to share 2 of the most important ones for me, and I'll quickly explain why they help ME get the most out of every reading I get as well. (both for personal and professional purposes alike)

- Write down 5-7 MAJOR Questions Before The Call

Honestly, I prefer to keep it closer to 5....but definitely no more than 7. Make sure these are the types of questions that clarity will help you improve the current quality of your life.

Then, write down your ideal resolution to each. In other words, you not only want to write down what you really need to know, you also should visualize and communicate on paper how you'd like each situation or set of circumstances to resolve itself in the most favorable way for YOU as well. (the reasons for this are a bit too detailed to cover here....but the obvious one is you want to align your intentions with outcomes you can visualize and that are put out to the "universe" as well)

My definition of a successful reading? If I can get good, detailed and insightful guidance on at least HALF of the questions (or conflicts) I had written down before the call. (a GREAT reading is when you get amazing answers to ALL of your questions...but that happens very rarely!)

- Acknowledge Your Inner "Assertive" Self

This is hugely important with all types of readings, but for phone readings, I find it's even more important. You want to CONTROL the tone, tempo and flow of the reading, and you don't want to give that up to the reader, even if they are on a great roll. The truth is, it took me years to learn how to "steer" a reading in the direction that was most important to ME, and not let a psychic or medium just go off in the area that they wanted to, while I sat there in silence.

Remember, it's YOUR life, and your money and YOUR time on the phone. Writing down what you want to know in advance, visualizing the sort of outcomes you want, and then making sure that you are assertive in keeping the psychic focused on YOUR issues is critical to getting the most out of each and every reading...no different than if you were seeing any other highly gifted professional.

The analogy I like to make?

If you went to your family doctor with a cold that was driving you nuts and keeping you out of work and home in bed...and all he wanted to do was talk about your bad diet, or a foot problem....or anything that he thought was more important, at some point you'd speak up and say - "okay, doc....but I really came in because this COLD is driving me crazy" right? It may sound silly...but the very SAME thing applies to getting life advice from a gifted intuitive as well!
