Bread From Heaven

Have you ever wondered about what did the Israelites eat as they were traveling through the dessert? Well the Bible tells us about bread from heaven.
Let's find it in our Bibles and see what the fact really say.
First look at John 3:11 it says I tell you the truth, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony.
Now look at John 3:19 it says This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.
Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.
Look at John 6:48 it says I am the bread of life.
Your forefathers ate the manna in the desert, yet they died.
But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and not die.
I am the living bread that came down from heaven.
If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever.
This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
Now look at John 6:53 Jesus said to them, I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.
Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.
This is the bread that came down from heaven.
Look at John 15: 1 it says I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.
He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.
You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.
Remain in me, and I will remain in you.
No branch can bear fruit by itself: it must remain in the vine.
Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
Now look at 1Corinthians 10:1 it says For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers, that our forefathers were all under the cloud and in the sea.
They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea.
They all ate the same spiritual food and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ.
Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered over the desert.
Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did.
Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written; The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in pagan revelry.
We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did-and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died.
We should not test the Lord, as some of them did-and were killed by snakes.
And do not grumble, as some of them did-and were killed by the destroying angel.
These things happen to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come.
So if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall! No temptation has seized you except What is common to man.
And God is faithful, he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.
But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
Look at Romans 12:9 it says Love must be sincere.
Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.
Honor one another above yourselves.
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
Share with God's people who are in need.
Practice hospitality.
Blessthose who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.
Live in harmony with one another.
Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.
Do not be conceited.
Do not repay anyone evil for evil.
Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody.
If it is possible,, as far as it depends on you, live atpeace with everyone.
Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God Wrath, for it is written: It is mine to avenge; I will repay, says the Lord.
Now look at Ephesians 5:15 it says Be very careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is.
Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery.
Instead, be filled with the Spirit.
Speak to one another with psalms,, hymns and spiritual songs.
Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything; in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In closing look at Colossians 4:2 it says Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.
Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.
Be wise in the ways you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.
Let you conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
It is so amazing, how the Lord feed the Israelites in the dessert, how they all ate the same spiritual food and drank the same spiritual drank.
I can truly say that in today's world we all need to continue to eat the same spiritual food and drank the same spiritual, and thank the Father and his Son for such a meal, and that, also, that it is still available for everyone.
And I truly thank Him for such good examples.
