Secrets I"ve Learned to Create More Blog Traffic

In my observations a lot of dedicated professionals want to get their name out into their respective fields in a high-tech way.
When I was in college there were a lot of professors who had blogs but had a lot of trouble getting traffic to those blogs.
So I wanted to create a useful ezine article in dedication to all those professors and others who have blogs but weren't sure how to get readers.
First, I need to make this point clear; creating blog traffic takes consistency and dedication to understand the needs and desires of your target audience.
Over time you can create a large stream of traffic and followers as long as you are willing to offer valuable and relevant content to which people will constantly come back.
Building a social media marketing platform is the key to building traffic to your blog, and eventually a list of dedicated followers.
Social Networking tools such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn should be the foundation on which you connect with your target audience.
Facebook can be a great way to find like-minded individuals who can make up your target audience through groups and fanpages.
You can also use your Facebook wall to broadcast any relevant information to your audience, via videos, articles, blog posts, and pictures.
Twitter can be used to connect with new people, but especially for keeping in touch with your current network and update them on any new blog updates.
LinkedIn should be used for connecting with like-minded business professionals.
You can connect with experts in related fields who have target audiences similar to yours, and do a joint venture with them.
You may be able to help them out by filling in a gap of expertise they have on their blog.
This translates into sharing each other's audience.
Discussion Forums can be your secret weapon in getting traffic to your blog because you get to express your expertise freely in a public setting in front of a targeted audience.
Often times I see people asking for advice and starting open ended discussion about topics in which they are interested.
If you answer those questions in a high-quality manner and then leave an e-signature, people will be enticed to either get in touch with you or check out your blog.
Try looking for discussion boards related to your field of interest on Facebook fan pages, or forums around the internet that are focused towards your area of expertise.
If you write enough valuable content to make people want to visit your blog, and get enough traffic, eventually you may want to monetize your blog using things like Google AdSense, and Amazon Associates.
People pay Google for advertising and you can opt in as a participant for displaying those ads on your site.
You get paid every time someone clicks an ad on your website.
Amazon Associates is for displaying a book and items that you may recommend.
If you write a book, you can publish it on Amazon.
com and earn commission from the sales of the book.
What could an extra $500-$1500/month do for you and your family? In conclusion, networking actively online and creating a social media marketing platform is the key to building traffic to your blog and eventually a list of dedicated followers.
Social Networking tools such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn should be the foundation in which you connect with your target audience.
Beyond that, discussion forums can be your secret weapon in getting traffic to your blog because you get to express your expertise freely in a public setting, in front of a targeted audience.
Finally, if you write enough valuable content to make people want to visit your blog you will increase your traffic.
Eventually you may want to monetize your blog using things like Google AdSense, and Amazon Associates.
