The Newbies" Guide to Blogging - Part 2

There are many things that you can do to get the word out regarding your blog.
There are certain sites that offer you free software tools that 'ping' the mother ship the minute any content is added to your blog.
There are quite a few software tools that you can use to make your blogging experience seem like a breeze.
You can find several, but PingoMatic.
com is one example a quick-pinging service.
Once you're blogging and pinging, you may want to consider setting up a passive income stream to help your blog site pay for itself until the customers come rolling in.
You want your site itself to convert its efforts into money; this is called monetization.
Conveniently, if you use an ad networks (like AdSense) to run ads on your site, they will pay you a commission for the number of traffic to other sites generated from your ads.
Certain networks like AdSense match the content of the ads being displayed to the content on your site, making the ads more tempting to your visitors.
For example, if your site is about real estate, then your visitors would be less likely to click on an add for fashion.
Here are a few things that you would need to do in order to start making money with your blogs.
1.
In order to monetize your blog, you will need to register with AdSense and add the AdSense code to your blog.
I agree that initially this may make your head swim a bit.
But if you are planning to make money off your blog, you will need to do this, and once you've done it a couple of times it really should start to make sense.
And Cents.
There are of course other ad networks; choose what is best for you.
2.
You will need to add your blog's URL to search engines so that they index it accordingly.
Since there are so many search engines, you may find it a tad difficult to add your site to the whole lot.
However, there are a few sites that offer to add your URL to the search engines for a fee and fewer still do it for free.
You will need to Google 'add URL to search engine' and sort through the results for the one that suits you the best.
3.
You need to register with sites like feedburner.
com.
These sites convert your content into feeds for free thus making it available to many users; this will provide your site with a larger reach.
Certain sites charge a monthly fee for converting your content to feeds, but the basic membership at FeedBurner carries no additional charge.
By the way, a "feed" is a stripped down version of your blog entries that most technology -- other sites, phones, etc.
can read easily.
4.
Last but not least, lets not forget the content.
Make sure that your content is informative but does not appear to be mundane.
It has to be interesting enough to engage the reader.
You may even want to link up your content to relevant source articles until you have built up your own credibility.
Ta-da! You not only have a blog, you have monetized it.
Congratulations! Again, the details given here are just the blogging basics (blogging101).
As such, they do not cover the advanced chapters.
But I am sure that in due time, you will figure out the rest as well.
Happy blogging!
