- 1). Gather your wireless network information for use during installation. This includes your network password, channel number and passphrase or WEP key. All of this information was established when you set up your wireless router.
- 2). Run an Ethernet network cable from any open port on the wireless router to the Ethernet port on the print server. This is only a temporary step for the configuration. Don't plug the print server in just yet.
- 3). Turn on the network printer, allow it to fully power up and then plug in the wireless print server.
- 4). Insert the wireless print server's installation CD into a network computer. A setup wizard should automatically begin.
- 5). Enter the default user name and password information provided in the user's manual. Then follow the wizard prompts to establish your security settings.
- 6). Install the print server driver software on each network computer. This is also a wizard process on the installation CD. Run the driver installation on each computer that will print to the server.
- 7). Remove the temporary Ethernet cable from between the router and the server and print a test document from any of the computers. When you print, choose the print server as your default printer.
