Use the Right Exercises to Get Real Results

I really believe that most Americans are over weight not because we are lazy and care free.
In fact, I think it is just the opposite.
I see gyms all over America that are filled with overweight people working hard to lose the weight.
The problem is that most of the overweight people never get the right guidance to show them what they have to do in order to lose that weight.
This is a result of typical classic conditioning caused by our media.
For years and years Americans have used cardio and aerobic exercises to rid ther bodies of excess fat because that's what they thought was the right thing to do.
The aerobic craze of the '80's and '90's may have brain washed us into believing that if we do aerobics, we will lose the weight.
There are a couple of problems with doing aerobics to often: 1) Aerobics are boring.
Many people don't keep up with their aerobic workout routines because they don't look forward to doing them.
And really who would look forward to jogging on a treadmill for an hour every day and not see any results? 2) Too much aerobics can lead to muscle wasting.
It's true, overusing your muscles can do more harm than good.
Look at the body of a marathon runner and compare it to the body of a sprinter.
3) Aerobic exercises can actually put more fat on your body.
As you are doing your aerobic exercises, your body burns your fat stores which tells your body to save more fat so you can use it specifically for your aerobic workouts.
If you really want to lose weight and burn fat, stop doing aerobics! What you need to do instead are short high intensity exercises that use the biggest muscle groups in your body.
Workouts like squats and deadlifts will stimulate the most hormonal responses in your body and will speed up your metabolism much faster than any cardio or aerobic exercise ever will.
These type of exercises will not only workout the lower body but they also have a major impact on development of the upper body as well.
Using these workouts will not take anywhere as long as your normal aerobic routines so that way you can be done with your exercises in under an hour.
They're not boring either because you can switch up these high intensity workouts every other day.
I would suggest using squats and deadlifts 2 to 3 times a week and adding in other high intensity workouts in between.
Other workouts that will speed up your metabolism are wind sprints, jump rope, swim sprints, and circuit workouts.
The human body is more geared to doing short high energy bursts.
Keep that in mind when you go to workout next and change up your routine to using exercises that will give you actual results.
