How do I Tell What Show a Ticket Stub Is From?

    • 1). Look in the center of the ticket for the event title. Often, the headlining artist's name or title of the show will be displayed prominently on the center of the ticket.

    • 2). Locate the date of the performance and the venue at which the event was held, which will be listed on the ticket. In your web browser, perform a search for events held on that date at that venue, using your favorite search engine. For example, search using terms such as "July 14, 2010 ABC Theater." Most promoters will advertise events on many different websites, and many of these archived event pages will still be live.

    • 3). Call the venue at which the event was held. The venue will have a record of all events previously held, and the director of events or director of programming can view their event history. The name of the venue will be listed on the ticket stub, and a quick search of the venue's name in your favorite search engine will yield the telephone number. If the venue has a generic name, enter the venue name followed by the city and state of the event into the search engine.
