How to Remove the Win32.Explorerhijack Trojan From My Computer

    • 1). Stop the process from continuing by pressing the "Ctrl" key, the "Alt" key and the "Delete" key simultaneously on your computer keyboard, selecting "Start Task Manager," clicking the "Processes" tab, right-clicking on Win32.Explorerhijack.exe, and selecting "End Process."

    • 2). Delete the Trojan from your computer by pressing the "Start" button, typing in "Win32.Explorehijack" into the "Search" tab at the bottom of the menu and then right-clicking on Win32.Explorehijack.exe and selecting "Delete."

    • 3). Empty the "Recycling Bin" if you have one set up by going to your desktop, right-clicking on the "Recycling Bin" and selecting "Empty."

    • 4). Open the registry on your computer by pressing the "Windows" key and the "R" key simultaneously on your computer keyboard, typing in "regedit.exe" into the box that appears and then clicking "Run." Note that the "Windows" key is the key that has the Windows logo on it and is between the "Fn" key and the "Alt" key.

    • 5). Go through each one of the "HKEY" folders and delete any registry key that has the term "Win32.Explorerhijack.exe" at the end of it.

    • 6). Restart your computer and when your computer boots up again, you'll be free of the Win32.Explorerhijack.exe Trojan and any damage it may have caused to your computer.
