- 1). Press the item key on the printer's menu repeatedly until the display screen for the toner count comes up.
- 2). Look over the numbers in the toner count windows. This represents the percentage of the toner used in the previous cartridges -- one count each for black, magenta, yellow and cyan.
- 3). Press the "minus" of the plus-minus buttons for the "value" setting on the toner cartridge you replaced until the counter reaches zero, resetting its life counter to the beginning.
- 4). Press the "select" button on the display to save the reset counter.
- 5). Repeat the previous steps to reset the life counter for each cartridge you replace and save the reset counter.
