A 16-year-old girl was mauled by a cougar after she and Anthony Zitnick illegally entered the home of a man who legally owned two jungle cats.

The 16-year-old girl was mauled by a cougar and rushed to the hospital after she and 21-year-old Anthony Zitnick illegally entered a wildlife collector's home about 1:30 p.m. Neighbors believe Zitnick was trying to impress the younger girl. Miami-Dade Police say Zitnick was trying to impress his young companion The man who's home they entered, Alan Rigerman, legally owns two cougars, several tortoises, alligators and snacks.

When neighbors heard the girl's screams, they called authorities, and they found her covered in blood. Zitnick faces charges of illegal entry.
