Skiing

Blue Mountain ski resort is located within the Niagara Escarpment, not too far from Collingwood, Ontario. There are 34 ski runs with 13 chairlifts that is set on 900 acres. The mountain, or ski hill is approximately 720 vertical feet. The ski runs range from slopes that are appropriate for beginners to double back diamond steep slopes for the adventurous and expert skiers. There is a ski hill that is suitable for every level of skier. They also have five freestyle runs for those who enjoy freestyle skiing and for snowboarders.  

It is open every winter, regardless of the amount of natural snowfall. If nature doesn't provide enough snow for the ski hills, they make their own with snow-making equipment. There will always be one or more of the hills open for your skiing or snowboarding enjoyment during the ski season.

Ski Patrol

For your safety, there is the ski patrol that consists of a group of 200 volunteer and paid patrol personnel who are all trained in first aid and rescue. You will always find them patrolling the hills and on-call from the time that the slopes open in the morning until they close in the evening.
