This is the German band Fall Of Serenity's fourth full-length release, and it's a bruising melodic death metal CD. They add a few influences of metalcore, but their approach is pretty straightforward. Thrashy riffs abound alongside blast beats with death metal screaming vocals.

Even though there's not a lot of innovation here, there is excellent execution. The riffs and melodies are memorable and the vocals intense.

The production is also very good, allowing the band's technical skill to be showcased without losing any of the aggression.
