Memphis Music & Heritage Festival

The Memphis Music and Heritage Festival is one of the best annual events Memphis has to offer. It is hosted by the Center for Southern Folklore and takes place on Main Street in Downtown Memphis. For two days, all Memphis cultures are represented by a wide variety of performances and demonstrations. Local bands of every kind take several street stages, as do local chefs and other experts on regional novelties.
Art lines the streets, and this colorful festival is packed with rock, rap, gospel, blues, marching bands, folk, jug bands, and workshops throughout the day. The fun continues into the night with some of the best talent Memphis has to offer. For more information, contact the Center for Southern Folklore at 901-525-3655 or by visiting their website.
