    Remove and Replace Memory

    • 1). Turn off your Dell Vostro 3700 laptop and unplug any cables that are attached.

    • 2). Turn your laptop over and position it so the side that opens is closest to you.

    • 3). Locate the battery in the top-middle area of the laptop. The battery latch is just below the lower-right corner of the battery. Push the battery latch all the way to the right until it locks in position.

    • 4). Slide the battery out and remove it from the laptop.

    • 6). Locate the memory module in the top-middle region of the uncovered area. Push the two clips holding the memory module in place outward, away from the memory module. This will cause the memory module to pop up at a 45-degree angle.

    • 7). Lift and remove the memory module.

    • 8). Insert the new memory module into the connector slot.

    • 9). Push the clips toward the memory module to lock it into place.

    • 13

Remove the two screws on the left side of the bracket that connect the bracket to the hard drive.

    • 14

Insert the new hard drive in the bracket and secure the two screws on the left side.

    • 15

Place the hard drive on the left side of the hard drive bay and slide it all the way to the right to connect it to the laptop.

    • 16

Secure the screw on the part of the bracket that extends to the left.

    • 17

Slide the tabs on the left side of the base cover into place on the laptop. Push the base cover down and secure the screws on the right side of the base cover.
