The only place that comes to my mind when people ask me about kid's friendly destination in Europe is Barcelona. Parents are quite often careful before selecting a destination because safety; climate and budget constraints need to be kept in mind before planning a holiday with family. It does not matter if the kids are really young or they are in their teen age. With numerous ways to entertain kids, family holiday in Barcelona could be a memorable trip. The city has a lot to offer as it has many sightseeing attractions that interests both children and adults. Besides, there are a lot of things that can be done for free in Barcelona. Visiting The Ciutadella which is a beautiful park or visting beaches are few of these. Local neighborhood fiestas bring entertainment for free on streets to kids which is real fun.

This museum of modern art is pretty good option to visit if your kids are in their teen age. The Fundació Joan Miró is located on Barcelona's popular place, Montjuic which has a lot of green space and is filled with parks all over.

Bosc Urbà, the urban jungle lives up to the expectation and has a variety of activities for the entire family. Museo del Mammut, the Mammoth Museum is worth a mention among other great Museums. Visitors are allowed to handle ancient treasures here. There are also a few adventurous activities for kids outside Barcelona. Excursions being one of these is ideal for a family ready to experience thrill.
