You are in your office working on your Christmas Sermon Outlines and you are experiencing writer's block.
Maybe it is because you are overwhelmed because of all the other things that you have going on.
Perhaps you just want to change things up and avoid doing the same thing you do every year.
While this is a great thought, it can cause the creative process to freeze up as you search for an idea that is unique.
Here are a few ideas that I have found to be good over the years.
Of course they are not new since there is nothing new under the sun.
But I do find them to be great starting points and easy to personalize for your congregation.
1.
Helping those in need- This time of year people's hearts usually have a natural bent towards helping others.
I am not sure why this phenomenon occurs but it always does.
Why not capitalize on this mindset that you know will be occurring and craft Christmas Sermon Outlines on this topic.
It might even permanently change the heart of your church towards reaching out to others which is always a good thing.
2.
Peace- In a world of turmoil and anger, both in our homes and on a global scale, peace is a good idea.
Since Christ is the Prince of Peace there is no better time to talk on this topic.
You can use it to discuss current events and what the Christian response should be but you can also personalize it and make it about peace in our churches and our homes.
Maybe even use the opportunity to bring healing in your congregation.
3.
Family- People do think about family a lot at Christmas time so why not use this time to strengthen families.
Families inside and outside the church are hurting.
Bring them hope and comfort.
Bring healing and a challenge for them to stick together and strengthen their relationships this year.
If these topics do not work for you you may want to search for Christmas Sermon Outlines online and see what others are speaking about.
Trust, there are plenty of ideas out there.
In the mean time I pray these ideas get you going and that your sermons are effective and powerful.
