How to Mount Large Plasma TVs

    • 1). Decide on a wall location for your plasma TV. For viewing ease, the set should be away from fireplaces to avoid light interference (and possible heat damage) and not too high on the wall so you don't strain your neck to watch. Position the set so that you're eye-level with the bottom of the TV while seated.

    • 2). Place your level on the wall where you want the top of the TV to rest. Make a mark with a carpenter's pencil as a mounting guide. Place the TV against the wall and mark where the bottom of the set rests and mark the location on the wall of where the attachment cables will exit the TV.

    • 3). Drill holes into the wall where the cables will go. Place your wall-mounting brackets flush to the top line you drew with the level and line up the pencil line with the top of the brackets. Use the electric screwdriver to attach the brackets to the wall.

    • 4). Attach all the needed cables (HD, etc.) to the TV then mount your plasma TV to the wall by attaching the set to the brackets. Thread the cables through the wall and drill exit holes at the bottom of the wall. Turn the cables at the top of the wall to thread their ends through the exit holes. Attach the cables to other devices like Blu-Ray/DVD players or video-game consoles. Plug the TV into your power source.
