General Hospital Daily Recap for March 18, 2010

Lulu Wants Ethan to Stay in Port Charles

Lulu tries to talk Ethan into staying in Port Charles. She admits that she's not certain that Ethan is innocent, but running is not the answer. Wait until Luke gets home. Ethan says that Luke can't be reached, the DNA under Kristina's fingernails is definitely his, and his goose is cooked. However, to Lulu, it looks like he won't run. She goes to GH and sees Jason and Sam arguing.

She interrupts them and asks Jason not to go after Ethan. Jason agrees and admits he's not sure of Ethan's guilt.

Jason Has Doubts about Kristina's Story

While Jason is questioning Kristina, she flashes back on Kiefer attacking her and starts crying. Sonny enters and orders Jason to stop. Outside, Jason apologizes, adding that he's not sure that Ethan is guilty. He is Luke's son, and he's not willing to get rid of him unless he's sure. Sonny is sure that Ethan is guilty and wants him dead.

On his way out of the hospital, Jason runs into Sam. He expresses his doubts about Kristina's story - how could Ethan be talking to Sam, twenty minutes away from the Lake House, after Kristina brought her home, and yet show up five minutes after Kristina got home to beat her? Sam doesn't know why Kristina would lie. How could Jason even think that?

Sam is of a different opinion. She goes to the Haunted Star and starts hitting Ethan! He doesn't fight back, but after taking it for a time, he grabs her arm.

Jason enters and warns Ethan that if he hurts Sam, he'll kill him right on the spot. Ethan again says that he never hurt Kristina.

Alexis Asks Sonny To Let the Law Take Care of Ethan

At PCPD, Mac informs Alexis that the DNA under Kristina's fingernails was Ethan's. Alexis just doesn't understand - her daughter is not only young, but she's small. This man put his fist in her face? Luke's son? She visits Kristina later, and she's surprised to find Kristina hysterically begging Sonny not to go after Ethan. Sonny is adamant. Alexis agrees with Kristina and as he leaves, she follows him out of the room. Isn't one murder trial enough for him? She doesn't want Kristina seeing her father as a monster. Sonny doesn't give her a definite answer. Alexis returns to Kristina's room and promises her that the law will deal with Ethan. Kristina doesn't seem to want even that. She doesn't want to press charges. Alexis calms her down and promises to be by her side.

Claire Wants the Mayor to Grant a Continuance - Where Did She Go to Law School?

Claire meets with the Mayor about postponing Sonny's trial, but the mayor wants it to go on as scheduled. The mayor in reality has no control over a trial; Claire doesn't seem to know that the only one who can grant a continuance is the presiding judge. Meanwhile, Coleman and Alice have been summoned for jury duty. Coleman complains to Kate that he wants out of it; he doesn't know anything about the system. Kate thinks doing your civic duty is hot and promises that if he is called for a jury, she'll supply the wardrobe.

Dante Goes After Michael, Then Changes His Mind

Dante appears on Sonny's island - when Max and Milo see him, they get Michael to hide. Dante explains that Michael has been subpoenaed (which he actually hasn't been). What kind of guy, they wonder, tries to get his brother to testify against his father? This bothers Dante, so he leaves the island. He goes to Sonny's place and informs him that in truth, Claire has enough to put Sonny in prison without Michael's testimony.

Michael wants to return home, though. He doesn't want Sonny going to prison for something that he did. Max and Milo won't let him go.

Elizabeth Holds Out Hope; Nikolas Has a Hollow Victory

Elizabeth is devastated that Nikolas is her baby's father, but Nikolas says that the results that he ordered should be back soon. He sees the look of hope on Elizabeth's face - obviously, she wants the baby to be Lucky's. Doesn't she understand that Lucky doesn't want to be with her? Elizabeth points out that as far as Nikolas is concerned, it doesn't matter. Since it looks like the baby is his, all that will happen is that the two of them will share custody. It doesn't imply a relationship.

Nikolas returns to Windemere and finds Helena, who announces that she's moving in. Nikolas brings in Spencer and tells him that he will be having a baby brother or sister soon. Like he gets any attention as it is.
