- 1). Prepare your phone. First, remove its back cover, and take the battery out. Then insert the SIM card you've been provided with by your network carrier. After replacing the battery and the phone cover, turn on your phone, and follow the onscreen instructions of the "Setup wizard" to set the time and date of the phone.
- 2). Use the dial pad of the phone to make phone calls. Enter the phone number, and press the "Call" key. If you're dialing an international number, hit "*" button twice followed by the country code, area code and the phone number. To cancel a call at any time, press the "End" key.
- 3). Press the "Call" key once if you want to access the list of phone numbers you've most recently called. To call a particular number from this list, scroll down to the name you want, and press the "Call" key again.
- 4). Manage your phonebook. To add contacts, go to "Menu" > "Contacts" > "Names" > "Options" > "Add new contact." Then enter the last name, first name, and the phone number of the person. To edit a contact, search him in the contacts list, and select "Details." Go to "Options" > "Edit" and change the specified details."
- 5). Press the "Menu" button to access the menu. If you want to change the menu view, select "Options" > "Main menu view" > "List," "Grid," or "Grid with labels." If you want to rearrange the menu, scroll to the menu you wish to move, and choose "Options" > "Organize" > "Move." Make your adjustments using the up and down keys, and select "OK." Then press "Done" > "Yes."
- 6). Send a text message (SMS). Go to the "Menu" > "Messaging" > "Create Message" > "Text Message." Enter the recipient's cell phone number in the "To" field. If you want to retrieve a number from the contacts, go to "Add" > "Contact," and scroll down the list to select the contact. After adding the contact, type in the "Message:" field, and press "Send."
- 7). Access your call log. Go to "Menu" > "Log" > "Missed Calls," "Received Calls" or "Dialed Calls." To view the recent missed, received and dialed calls chronologically, select "Call log."
- 8). Select a particular profile for your phone. Go to "Menu" > "Settings" > "Profiles" and select a particular profile from the list. To customize the selected profile, select "Personalize."
- 9). Change your phone's theme to personalize your wallpaper, screen saver, color scheme and ringtone. Go to "Menu" > "Settings" > "Themes." Scroll down the list, and select "Select theme" when you've found the one you like.

Select a particular ringtone for the phone. Go to "Menu" > "Settings" > "Tones" > "Incoming call alert." Go through the list of alerts available, and select the one you like.
