- Hold the PC tablet pen the same way as you would a normal pen or pencil. Some PC pens have function buttons positioned on their sides or tops, so you'll need to make sure you're not going to knock these inadvertently when establishing your grip. The pen tip is identifiable from a small stylus at the bottom that makes contact with the screen. Some PC pens also have a virtual eraser at the other end.
- The pen tip works much in the same way as the onscreen arrow controlled by the mouse on a traditional PC. You can activate buttons by tapping or holding on icons. Some PC pens have a button on the side of them that functions like the right button of a mouse, allowing you to move items around and access function menus. If your pen has an eraser, this works in the same way as the delete button on a standard PC.
- You can use a PC pen like a traditional pen in word processing and graphics programs. Although you will not have as much control over your work as you would if using a pencil and paper, this is a great way of jotting down notes and or sketching out designs.
