Are you planning a bachelorette party and trying to decide what the bride---and the guests---should wear? An easy way to help decide this is to determine a theme. Not only will it help you pick an outfit for yourself and the bride, it'll make planning easier and more fun. If you're in doubt, dress to impress. - A classic bachelorette party theme is to dress the bride in all white, with a veil, a garter and other fun accessories that make it obvious she's getting hitched. To make her stand out even more, have the guests dress in head-to-toe black. The contrast will make her impossible to miss, and if anyone asks, you can tell them you're mourning the death of your friend's single life.
- If your friend loves country music, put her in a pair of Daisy Dukes, a plaid shirt, some cowboy boots, and attach a veil to a cowboy hat. You could also give her a customized white bandanna bejeweled with "Bride." You and the rest of the girls can put your own spin on the country theme with a leather vest, cowboy hat or just jeans and boots.
- If your bride-to-be friend enjoys being the glamorous center of attention, dress her in a white boa, brightly colored masquerade mask and anything else with glitz. Try some fishnet tights, satin shorts, a flapper dress and anything else that's sparkly, shiny or sexy. Make it fun by giving everyone their own boa and getting burlesque dance lessons.
- Does your bride love to dance? Throw on your bell bottoms, platform shoes and glittery top. Get the bride in a shiny jumpsuit and have some real fun by putting her into an Afro wig. This is the perfect opportunity to pull out some body glitter and go to town. Wear anything tight or sequined and head out to the closest dance club.
- If wild parties aren't your friend's thing, do something a little more proper and go out for afternoon tea, complete with scones and finger sandwiches. This is a great opportunity to put on your prettiest dresses, skirts and suits. Find an old-fashioned hat with a veil for the bride to set her apart from the group, or get her a special set of pearls to complete her ensemble.
