- 1). Open the Photo Story software from your start menu. Click on begin a new story and click next.
- 2). Import and add pictures from your computer. Click on import pictures and select a folder where you have the photos you will use. If you have more than a few pictures to add, press CTRL on your computer and click on each picture you would like to import while holding down the CTRL button. Then click OK to upload the pictures to the software.
- 3). Change the sequence of the picture line-up by clicking on the photo and dragging it into place. You can edit the photo in this screen by clicking edit and adding effects, fixing red eye, adjusting the color or rotating the photo. Click next when you are done to go to the next section.
- 4). Add a title to your photos. Click the first photo and type in a title for your story. You can change the alignment and font by clicking the font style button and clicking the align button. Repeat these steps to add titles to all the photos or leave them blank. Click next to go to the next section.
- 5). Add narration to your photos. You will need to have a microphone hooked up for this application. Click on microphone and this launches the sound wizard. Follow the onscreen instructions. Click on the picture and press the record narration button to start recording. When you are done press the stop recording button. Repeat this step for each photo then click preview to see how your story looks and sounds so far. Click next to go to the music section.
- 6). Add your own music to the story. Click on select music and select a folder where you have Windows Media Audio, WAV or MP3 to upload, select the title and click open. Look at the music bar and the pictures underneath. This will display how many pictures will show for the length of the music. You then can select the last photo and add another song to play the rest of the way through for the remaining photos. Repeat this step until you have enough music for all photos. Adjust the volume of the music by clicking the picture and adjusting the volume control.
- 7). Click save your story to save it to your computer.
