- The 1968 Chevy C30 came in two models: the C30 Base Flat Bed Pickup and the C30 Base Regular Cab Pickup. The C30 Flat Bed model comfortably seated up to four adult-sized persons and featured AM/FM radio, air conditioning, windshield washers and outside mirrors, according to the Rides Classic Trucks website.
- The C30 Flat Bed's combined weight was roughly 4,950 pounds, and Chevrolet manufactured more than 28,000 of these vehicles. Chevrolet produced just 3,130 of the Base Regular Cab Pickups. The C30 Base Regular Cab pickups weighed 5,360 pounds more than the C30 Flat Bed models.
- The C30 sat on a wide-body chassis that displayed a front-engine-wheel design in which the manufactured engine sat perpendicular to the pickup, according to the Nada Guides website. In addition to resting on a sound iron frame, '68 Chevy C30 had four-wheel overdrive transmission, which reduced wear and tear when it came to the C30's engine.
- The '68 Chevy C30 boasted a V-8 engine that came in five types: 4.8-liter V6, 5.7-liter V8, 7.4-liter V8, 6.2-liter V8 and 5.0-liter V8, all of which were installed in various models of '68 Chevy C30. The '68 Chevy C30 truck featured a five-speed manual transmission as well as a four-speed automatic transmission that was directly beneath the motor.
