How to Connect a Standard DVD to HDTV

    • 1). Examine the back of your DVD player and determine what audio/video connections are available. Check these connections against what is available on the back of your TV, then decide which audio/video ports that you want to use.

    • 2). Connect one end of the audio/video cable to the back of your DVD player, then insert the other end into the back of your HDTV.

    • 3). Plug the power cable of your DVD player into an electrical outlet and turn it on, then turn on your HDTV.

    • 4). Press the "Input" button on your HDTV remote control and select the audio/video port that your DVD player is plugged into. You can now play any DVD on your HDTV.
