Understanding The Need to Prevent Abortion

Everyone knows the old adage of 'prevention is better than cure'.
You should not rue about something after it has happened.
The same principle goes with abortion.
Abortion can lead to a number of complications for the pregnant lady and so it is essential to understand the effects of abortion.
It is quite simple.
If you do not get pregnant, you do not need to undergo an abortion.
This is why using proper contraceptives is necessary.
Understanding the risks involved Surgical complications have a direct effect on the health of the woman who is undergoing the abortion.
Future sterility may be a result of abortion as well.
Other harmful effects that the woman may have to suffer are irregular menstrual cycle, heavy bleeding, infections and allergic reactions; among others.
Complications due to unsafe abortion procedures account for an estimated 13% of maternal deaths worldwide, or 67,000 per year.
Almost all abortion-related deaths occur in developing countries.
Approximately 220,000 children worldwide lose their mothers every year from abortion-related deaths.
The statistics are pretty staggering.
This is the reason many countries have banned abortion altogether.
However, banning abortion altogether is not the solution as abortion can be quite necessary at times.
Things you should remember Abortion is often an impulsive decision.
However, sometimes what couples do not realise is that it is a permanent action.
What is important to note is that, if the process is once undertaken, it cannot be reversed.
This often leaves a scar on the mind of the male and the female alike, causing them to regret their actions.
In most of the countries where abortion is legalized, it is banned after the first twelve weeks.
This is because the baby in the womb is fully formed by then.
Abortion after the first twelve weeks, can also mean that there can be danger to the life of the pregnant woman.
This is another reason abortion is not advised after the first twelve weeks.
Even legally, though many countries have legalised the abortion practise, the debate is always tilted against it.
Therefore, precaution is always better.
Using condoms or pills after sex will ensure that the girl does not need to undergo abortion.
What's more, if the couple is careful enough, then pregnancies cannot occur.
Even in those countries which have legalized abortion, women cannot undergo the process whenever they want.
Abortion should only be carried out when necessary and not otherwise.
