DVDs And How You Can Save Money

How many DVDs would you guess you buy each year? You have probably bought more of them than you first think.
You may only buy yourself one or two DVDs a year but you probably also buy a number of them as presents for birthdays and Christmas as they make great additional presents and stocking fillers.
When you include those it no doubt comes to more than you initially thought.
So now you know how many you buy, can you guess how much they cost? Perhaps you also bought a box set or two, which bumps up their combined value.
That Friends box set you'd always wanted, for instance? Did you buy them all from the same place? Maybe you thought that they sold the very cheapest DVDs so you were more than happy to pay the price they quoted? It may not come as a shock to know that no shop is always the lowest priced, not even Amazon.
But were you aware that they can frequently differ in price considerably? Even the newest movie releases can range in price by over fifty percent between the cheapest and most expensive shops.
That's a substantial amount even on an individual DVD.
If you are purchasing a box set then the price variance can be huge.
You may not always be so worried if just buying a single DVD but if you think how much more you are paying out over the course of a year then it totals up to an amount that I'm certain you would prefer to save and spend on something else.
So now you know that by looking around you can spend significantly less per year on DVDs.
But it must be time consuming work, mustn't it? There are so many retailers selling DVDs on the Internet and to visit them all comparing their prices really isn't worth the hard work, is it? Well, you're partially right.
If you have to do it manually then you may argue that it was not worth the time it would take you to log on to all the numerous sites.
Maybe you would check a few, but not twenty or thirty DVD shops.
Well, help is at hand.
Don't go to the trouble of looking at all those sites yourself.
Instead, use a DVD price comparison site and let it do all the difficult work checking the DVDs.
A decent price comparison site will compare your DVD's price at all of the top DVD shop in seconds and show you the amount they are all charging.
Then you just visit the lowest priced shop and buy, knowing that that extra minute has saved you shelling out more of your hard-earned cash than you needed to.
Some of the price comparison sites will also list any discount codes or vouchers that the shops might have allowing you to get money off the published price too.
Why would you pay full price if the shop has got a discount code available? So why don't you try it yourself? When you next need to buy yourself a DVD why not check the price at a DVD price comparison site first and see how fast and simple it is.
You'll be pleasantly surprised.
