Georgia Hope Grant & Scholarship

• The Georgia Hope Grant is available to students attending two-year colleges in the state of Georgia. This program will pay for the full cost of a recipient's tuition and fees, as well as providing up to $150 for the cost of books. To be eligible, an applicant must have been a resident of Georgia for at least one year. A Georgia resident pursuing an associate degree may also be eligible to receive a Hope Scholarship after completing 30 credit-hours so long as they have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  
  

Southwest Georgia Technical College

• Southwest Georgia Technical College in North Thomasville offers a variety of scholarships to attending students pursuing a two-year degree. Jump Start Recruitment Scholarships are available in the amount of $500 to new students. Mitchell County Student Scholarships are available in the amount of $500 to students who are residents of Mitchell County and have a GPA of 2.5 or better. Southwest Georgia Technical College also offers many scholarships limited to students pursuing associate degrees in specific areas of study, such as allied health fields and technical fields.
  
  

Georgia Association for Nursing Education

• The Georgia Association for Nursing Education offers two scholarship programs to students pursuing associate degrees in nursing. The Lucy Willard Scholarship and the Sarah Helen Killgore Scholarship are both awarded annually in amounts of at least $500. To be eligible, applicants must be members of the Georgia Association for Nursing Education, must have a GPA of at least 2.5 on a scale of 4.0 and must be a resident of Georgia. The annual deadline for application is January 10.
  
  

Care Solutions

• The company Care Solutions offers scholarship assistance to persons who work in a licensed caregiving facility or group home and wish to pursue an associate degree in early childhood education at a Georgia two-year college. To be eligible, an applicant must work at least 25 hours a week and make less than $14.45 per hour. Students must also apply for all other available sources of support before they are eligible. Care Solutions Scholarships will pay for up to $1,000 of tuition bills not covered by other sources of aid.
