There is one major way in which Android operating system is particularly dissimilar from its Apple-branded smartphone rivalry - the number of smartphones out there working on the search giant's hot mobile operating system, Samsung churns out lots of them, and Sony Ericsson is making only a few. Then users have the awesome Android-running smartphones from Acer, LG, Huawei & several others, whilst HTC is releasing more in a month which all other mobile makers combined together can produce in a complete year. This is both the power and weakness of the Taiwanese mobile phone manufacturer, so do you consider it the power or the weakness?    

Obviously, we can't cover every smartphone running on the Android operating system, so we will focus on some that has come in to our attention at the time of writing this review. Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini is certainly extremely mini, however Sony Ericsson has been performing a tech-miracle in incorporating a mighty 1 GHz central processing unit into its tiny chassis, and the Xperia Mini comes with Android v2.3, improved considerably by the firm's user interface, which is adding loads of style & additional functionality to the search giant's on-fire mobile operating system, so is this a pure Android-running smartphone or it carries some customization as well?

The email application with its re-sizing preview pane is as astonishing as an e-mail application is probable to access, the jiggling application drawer edit display (with the capability to erase applications straight from the list) is extremely pleasant, plus users have access to themes, a sexy power-off animation & much, much more, and sadly it is the beta stage.

Here, Samsung took size of the display to a ludicrous new level with the Galaxy Note, giving us a mammoth-size 5.3-inch touchscreen which is by far the biggest of any smartphone in the market presently, plus users also have a stylus, which is pressure-sensitive & arrives with awesome handwriting-recognition tools, with dual snappers (8MP & 2MP) alongside an LED flash at the rear & somewhat average photography results, and users are preferring mobile cameras because these devices are highly-portable.
