Triumph Bathtub

Classical 1950s styling.

Introduced on the Triumph Tiger 21 in 1957, the bathtub rear fender was loved and hated equally. Primarily intended to capture some of the scooter market, which was sweeping Europe in the 50s, the bathtub fender kept some road grime from the rider.

Before long many owners removed the rear fender and fitted a conventional unit which ultimately resulted in the scarcity of this style of Thunderbird.
