So you should blow your nose and then dip cotton into warm salty water and clean your nostrils thoroughly.
Do this 2 to 3 times a day.

Balm usually contains eucalyptus, camphor and menthol that clear the airways.
• Vitamin C: Intake of the supplements of Vitamin C and foods that are high in Vitamin C can boost your immune system.
Vitamin C having added bioflavonoid is considerably more efficient than Vitamin C that does not have it.
• Hydration: You lose a lot of water when suffering with the flu.
You must get lots of liquids to avoid dehydration.
Avoid alcohol and coffee because they don't help you in retaining water.
Drink juices that contain Vitamins.
• Avoid touching your face.
Flu and other viruses enter into your body through the eyes, nose and mouth.
Never touch your face with dirty hands.
• Eat Less: When you are sick you must eat less and drink more.
Digestion consumes a major part of energy and thus will slow down the recovery process.
So you must select foods that can be easily digested.
• Support your head: Try to sleep with your head raised up.
This will allow draining of fluid from your nasal passages easier.
