- 1). Measure the length of your body from just below the chin to the knees, the width across the shoulders.
- 2). Mark out two heart shapes on separate pieces of foam core that are the body length high and the body width wide. Foam core is an expanded foam sandwiched with two pieces of cardstock. Cut it in three stages with a knife. First cut through the top layer of card, then a second cut through the foam and finally through the last layer of card.
- 3). Paint each of the hearts red using acrylic or latex paint. Make sure all the brush strokes go in the same direction and apply two or three layers to ensure even coverage, allowing the paint to dry completely between applications.
- 4). Cut out two shoulder straps from red fabric that are large enough to reach over the shoulders and attach to the highest part of each heart.
- 5). Attach the fabric shoulder straps to the hearts using a stapler. One strap should go from the top right of the front heart to the top right of the back heart. Repeat for the left side.
