- 1). Sketch a small model of your desired target on a piece of paper. This helps you visualize exactly how it will appear before proceeding with making the full-sized one.
- 2). Cut a piece of 60-lb. paper to the desired size for your silhouette target.
- 3). Draw the outline of the silhouette onto the paper using a pencil, chalk or marker.
- 4). Paint in the outline with acrylic paint. This is the fastest way to fill in the silhouette. If you have the time and resources, using markers or crayons is also an option. Black is the traditional color, but you can use whatever color you choose.
- 5). Let the paint dry.
- 6). Add any details to the target such as scoring or kill points. Use a contrasting paint color to the silhouette for best visibility.
