- 1). Set the water temperature for your bath. Depending on the make and model of your whirlpool, the temperature control may consist of a simple knob or an intricate electronic control panel. For best results, set the temperature between 100 and 102 degrees F. Purchase a thermometer from a local pool supply store to monitor the temperature in your whirlpool bath if desired.
- 2). Fill the tub with water set to your temperature preference. Run the water at least two inches higher than your tub's highest jet or water level sensor.
- 3). Climb into the whirlpool bathtub carefully. Hold onto something sturdy while getting into the tub to avoid slipping. Sit down in the bathtub and make yourself comfortable.
- 4). Press the "On/Off" control on the side of the tub to turn on the pump and start the whirlpool jets. Wait for up to a minute while the pump primes. Once the pump is primed, the jets will activate.
- 5). Press the "On/Off" button at the end of your bath to turn off the whirlpool jets. Drain and rinse the whirlpool tub at the end of each bath.
