- 1). Purchase a graphics card that is compatible with your laptop. For a list of compatible graphics cards, see the laptop's service manual or contact the laptop's manufacturer.
- 2). Put on the antistatic wristband to prevent electrostatic discharge from causing any damage to the laptop components.
- 3). Pry open the plastic hinge cover and pull it away from the body of the laptop.
- 4). Unscrew the two keyboard screws that were concealed by the hinge cover.
- 5). Lift and remove the keyboard from the laptop. Unplug the cable that connects the keyboard to the laptop body.
- 6). Unscrew the screws that attach the display to the laptop body. Unplug the display and remove it from the laptop.
- 7). Depress the disc drive's securing tab and remove the disc drive from the laptop.
- 8). Unscrew the screws securing the laptop casing to the internal laptop components. Remove the casing.

Replace the laptop case, disc drive, display, keyboard and hinge cover to reassemble the laptop. - 12
Turn on the laptop and download the graphics card drivers from the graphics card manufacturer's website.
