Jaden Smith plays "Dre" and Jackie Chan plays "Mr. Han" in The Karate Kid. In this new and updated story, Dre's mother and Dre move from Detroit to China. In this strange new land, Dre falls into a little trouble with local boys, but maintenance man Mr. Han offers to help Dre out with a few important lessons. Learning at the feet of a master in kung fu, Dre sees that there is more to martial arts than just punches and kicks, and he begins to understand his new surroundings and the culture he has become a part of.
